Now open on Mount Street, Automat brings a polished take on early- and mid‑century American dining to Mayfair. 

Hidden behind the leather‑goods boutique Tanner Krolle, the restaurant channels speakeasy subtlety with a contemporary gloss.

The menu is comfort‑driven but refined with highlights including a burger with homemade fries, a brown‑butter lobster roll, chicken pie with sweet potato mash, and a sharp, mustard‑forward steak tartare. Desserts lean into Americana with a Mayfair sheen. The cocktail menu features reworked classics, such as the Dirty Martini and Old Fashioned, alongside signatures like Velvet Hour and the herb‑bright Green Mezcalita. The wine list spans Burgundy, Tuscany and a curated run of American bottles.

Designed by Tomèf Studio, the space opts for “fine diner” elegance with warm lighting, classic tableware and an intimate 58-cover room. Service pairs American warmth with London precision, with music curated by DJ Chloe Caillet.

Later this year comes the lower‑ground Sporting Club, a 24-cover hideaway for major games and private gatherings, plus an invite‑only Supper Club offering guaranteed reservations, insider events and a WhatsApp concierge.
